A great vintage, succeeding two vintages (88 and 89) which were just as prestigious.
The year saw fine and hot weather, producing high degrees and relatively low acidities. The harvest was abundant; the wines are concentrated, with the taste of ripe fruits and supple tannins.
July was fine and hot, August truly tropical.
