Thierry Gardinier took the reins at the estate with a new technical team on 1 September : Alain Coculet, cellar master and Luc Peyronnet, vineyard manager. They decided to harvest in two passes, allowing for isolation of the grapes from young inter-planted vines. The crop was generous. Ageing in 25% new oak! The Château Phélan Ségur 1993 is considered “as one of the best of the region”
